I’m the author of nine books, (co-author of two), and thrilled that my next book, SEX AND YOUR STARS: A SEXOLOGIST’S GUIDE TO THE EROTIC ENERGY OF THE ZODIAC will be published by Sounds True in the summer of 2024.
Some of my books are available below, via Amazon. The rest of my books are on my Goodreads page.
Praise for Eco-Sex:
- “Eco-Sex aims to show readers how to reduce the carbon footprint of their love life—and have fun doing it….[it] leaves no stone unturned in its mission to bring the bedroom front and center into the battle to save the planet.”
–Jill Serjeant, Reuters News Service - “We’ve all heard of eco-friendly, but Stefanie Iris Weiss has just coined a new term: eco-sexual.” She covers virtually every element of sexual living, from contraceptives to bedroom furniture. So if you want to merely dip your feet in the eco-sexual pool or dive in headfirst, the tips are endless.”
— Molly Klinefelter, Los Angeles Times - “In this day and age, even sex can be done in an eco-friendly way…[Stefanie Iris Weiss] says a greener sex life makes knockin’ boots more enjoyable because it brings more energy and passion into the bedroom.”
–FlashNews - “Eco-Sex is really about better sex. In her fast-paced, engaging style, Weiss dispenses long overdue advice for leading a healthier, sexier, and greener lifestyle.”
—Josh Dorfman, author and host, The Lazy Environmentalist, Sundance Channel - “Responsibly interacting with our environment is one of the sexiest things we can do. Eco-Sex provides the resources to make green and sexy living possible.”
—Sarah Forbes, curator, Museum of Sex - “It’s clear in Weiss’ 200-page book that she is using sex to promote a completely green lifestyle.”
–Fanny Facsar, CNN - “If you truly love the Earth, then you must learn how to make eco-friendly, sustainable love. Put another way … green sex. That’s the message from writer Stefanie Iris Weiss, who’s pushing the Prius version of l’amore to a nation hooked on Hummer love.”
— Christine McConville, Boston Herald - “Feel the earth move under your feet, but without leaving a carbon footprint. Practice eco-sex. Everything from hand-cranked vibrators to biodegradable condoms are detailed in…Eco-Sex: Go Green Between the Sheets and Make Your Love Life Sustainable.”
— Cynthia Fagen, New York Post - “What’s sexier than a massage from your significant other? One with eco-friendly massage oil! In Eco Sex: Go Green Between the Sheets and Make Your Love Life Sustainable, Stefanie Iris Weiss offers recipes to create your own with ingredients like organic rose petals and lavender essential oil—plus plenty of other tips for leaving a smaller carbon footprint in the boudoir.”
— Elle Magazine - “Weiss…is practicing what she preaches.”
— April Streeter, Treehugger.com - “GOOD news. You can enjoy a big bang that will make the earth move AND help save the planet. For a new guide [Eco-Sex] shows you can cut emissions during sex to just a tiny amount of COphew.”
–Emma Barrow, News of the World - “I know that I’ll never be the eco-sexual that Weiss is, but I’m grateful her book opened me up to a world of which I knew nothing (The Pill causing generations of transgendered fish really got to me). I have the information needed to make the responsible choices not only in my life but also in my bedroom, and should I choose the non-green decision then shame on me, shame on all of us.”
–Amanda Chatel, The Gloss - “Can we sustain love while also loving the Earth? According to experts such as…Stefanie Iris Weiss, the author of Eco-Sex, the answer is a resounding yes. After all, when we’re good to the environment, we tend to be—by extension—good to our bodies. And when we’re good to our bodies, others take notice.”
–Steph Auteri, YourTango - “Ms. Weiss does a great job of reviewing hundreds of products and making suggestions for making your life greener. Most of all, she is on the mark when it comes to making your bedroom a safe place–more free from toxic chemicals normally found in just about everything–including sleeping on an organic mattress made with natural latex.”
–H. Penny, consumer review on Amazon - “Stefanie Weiss’ book is easy to read and very straight forward. She provides lots of ideas and useful products for anyone who wants their romantic life to be eco-friendly. The book also gives you a lot of URLs to get you started on your way.”
–Madison, consumer review on Amazon - Ecosex is the next, best sexual revolution. Think you’re green enough? Even if you recycle and use compact florescent bulbs, your bedroom may still be a toxic waste dump. Ecosexuals realize that saving the planet is inextricably linked with getting a little sumthin’ sumthin’. And going green can help you get more dates, if you do it right. From overpopulation and vegan condoms to wining, dining and seducing your lover, it’s all under the purview of Ecosex.

I first began publishing books in the late nineties, as a side gig when I was in grad school. I wrote five books for Rosen Publishing about topics as wide-ranging as coping with grief, yoga, and veganism. I then pitched and wrote Coping With the Beauty Myth: A Guide for Real Girls — a book that’s still in print almost twenty years later. I continue to get letters from young women about what this book meant to them. If you have a daughter, cousin, or young friend who needs to be reminded that external pressure to meet societal beauty standards is complete BS, you can find that book here.
